Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under escalating attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Russian forces has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the urban area endured heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults follow evenings of air raids in the region, portions of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were preparing for further attacks.
